As a Customer Success Executive at Microsoft, Sharmila’s ability to enable deep alliances and trusted customer partnerships while navigating particularly complex business scenarios was exemplary, and enabled strategic value differentiation for multi-million-dollar business renewals. As the Head of Digital Technologies at IQVIA, she developed an overall technology strategy for the $4B organization to enhance continuity of critical conversations for clinical trials through secure cloud solutions; and effected a sea change in the productivity of almost 40K clinical staff for greater engagement and improved patient outcomes. Sharmila has held various leadership roles in healthcare and telecommunications industries, with global responsibilities including end user computing and collaboration, security and compliance, product development, service management, and business operations.
In addition to her technology experience, Sharmila is passionate about empowering young girls with a sense of confidence, while fostering care and compassion for self and others, and serves on the Board for the Triangle Chapter of the Girls on the Run (GOTR) organization.
Sharmila received her M.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.
