VP Appointed to Accelerate Pipeline Growth & Clinical Trial Access

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., July 13, 2022 –  Javara, a leading Integrated Research Organization focused on improving clinical trial access and outcomes, announced today that it has appointed Chris Popple as its first vice president of strategic commercial development.

Chris Popple, a domain expert with nearly 20 years of drug development experience, joins Javara during a time of immense growth to accelerate the company’s clinical trial pipeline and overall business development initiatives. A highly regarded leader in the industry, Popple has a demonstrated history of building relationships and networks that exceed enterprise goals and operational performance. He will guide Javara by overseeing and advancing all business development initiatives to cultivate engagement with industry partners and expand a pipeline that both matches healthcare partner needs and increases patient access to right-fit trials.

“To ensure our healthcare partners and the patients they serve have continual access to a broad and diverse portfolio of trials, we knew it was vital to have someone leading these efforts who recognizes the value of an IRO and the importance of CRAACO (clinical research as a care option) in addressing current, untenable drug development trends,” said Javara CDO Amanda Wright. “Chris’ diverse background, track record in building high-functioning teams, and long-standing belief in the IRO as a catalyst for transformation, make him the perfect fit for Javara. We are honored to have Chris join us as the leader of our business development efforts with particular focus on building high impact strategic partnerships with biopharma and CROs.”

Prior to joining Javara, Popple served as Executive Director – Clinical Research Partnerships, Hospital & Health Systems at LabCorp Diagnostics where he led the creation and implementation of strategic alliances and collaborations with major biopharma, large hospitals, health systems, and ACOs, and managed care organization clients. Prior to his most current role, Popple served as Senior Director – Site Partnerships at Covance Drug Development (a subsidiary of parent company LabCorp) where he was responsible for creating, executing, and managing the Global Clinical Site Partnership Research Hub Strategy and Strategic Alliance Initiatives. Popple currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for Trialbee and is a member of the SCRS Education Committee.

“It is a privilege to join the Javara team at such an exciting and critical time for the organization. I have long admired Javara for the leadership position they hold in the reinvention of clinical research and share their passion to deliver innovative solutions to biopharmaceutical companies that in turn improve patient care and clinical trial operational efficiencies,” said Popple. “These data and technology driven innovative partnerships and solutions allow physicians to provide access to novel care options as an integrated part of the holistic healthcare experience for their patients, and I am honored to be a part of the team pioneering this reimagined approach to clinical trial delivery.”
