Board Member & Leadership Team
Jennifer Byrne
Founder, Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer
| Let’s ConnectA true thought leader and pioneering force behind the Clinical Research as a Care Option (CRAACO) movement, Jennifer Byrne is a proven driver of revolutionary advancements across the industry.
Jennifer’s career has been devoted to leading organizations, building teams, and cultivating partnerships centered on advancing the clinical research enterprise to better connect patients and providers to clinical trials. When founding Javara, Jennifer’s vision was to create an organization that challenges todays widely accepted, yet largely inefficient, approach to trial delivery. By bridging the gap between clinical research and clinical care, Javara enables more patients to participate through high-touch, point-of-care access and support.
As the former CEO of PMG Research and founder of Greater Gift (501(c)3), Jennifer’s involvement in the clinical research enterprise has been vast across collaborations with hundreds of pharma, device, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), technology, site organizations, and other research service providers. Her stellar track record for consistent and excellent quality in patient, provider and client experiences associated with research trials is but one of many professional accomplishments.
Jennifer is also one of the industry’s biggest advocates for deep community engagement to bring research opportunities to underserved populations, building more diversity into clinical trial participation and improving health equity for all. This can be seen by her founding Greater Gift and continual work to advance their mission, as well as her support and partnership with the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity.
Jennifer has been recognized as a PM360 ELITE, CenterWatch Top 20 Innovator, PharmaVOICE Woman of Influence, two-time TBJ Power Player and TBJ Outstanding Woman in Business among others.
Currently, she serves as board chair of both Javara and Greater Gift (501(c)3); board director for Nmible; advisory chair for the master’s in clinical research management with Wake Forest University; and additional advisory roles with Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine, FCA Health Innovations Fund, and the North Carolina Biotech of the Piedmont Triad. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Piedmont Triad Regenerative Medicine Engine.
Jennifer is a graduate of Texas A&M University.
