SCRS Award Honors Jennifer Byrne
Jennifer Byrne Honored with 2026 Christine K. Pierre Site Impact Award
Javara Founder & CEO Jennifer Byrne has been named the recipient of the 2026 Christine K. Pierre Site Impact Award by the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS). Presented during the 20th Anniversary Global Site Solutions Summit in Orlando, Florida, the award recognizes industry leaders whose advocacy and contributions have made an extraordinary impact on the clinical research site community.
Throughout her 39-year career, Jennifer has challenged the idea that research sites must continually adapt to a system that was never built for them. She has advocated for stronger research infrastructure, greater site sustainability, and deeper integration of clinical research into routine healthcare. Her vision helped shape Javara’s Integrated Research Organization (IRO) model, which has introduced more than 500,000 patients to clinical research opportunities through trusted healthcare relationships.
Jennifer’s advocacy extends well beyond Javara. As an active contributor to industry collaborations and national policy discussions, she has championed practical solutions to the operational, financial, and structural barriers facing research sites. Her recent work includes supporting the FDA’s Streamlined Trials Embedded in Clinical Practice (STEP) Demonstration Project, participating in a National Academies workshop focused on engaging community-based practices in clinical trials, and contributing recommendations on proposed federal legislation aimed at accelerating clinical development.
Through Javara’s role as an SCRS Global Impact Partner since 2022 and involvement in the Society’s Public Policy Committee, Jennifer continues to advocate for greater recognition of the site’s role in advancing research and for the infrastructure needed to sustain it.
“To be recognized with an award honoring Christine, whose courage, vision, and passion helped shape an industry I care so deeply about, means more to me than words can express. I am especially grateful for the extraordinary people at Javara and the many colleagues, partners and friends who have inspired, challenged (you know who you are!) and supported me along this journey. Whatever impact we make is always greater because of the people beside us.” Jennifer wrote in a LinkedIn post following the recognition.
