Javara Hosts Third LinkedIn Live Series Event

Launched in 2024, Javara’s LinkedIn Live Series discusses various topics, including obesity trials and trends, pediatrics, DEI, site relationships with Sponsors and CROs, and much more.

Javara’s most recent event featured three physicians from two of our Healthcare Partners: Dr. Keith Fernandez (Privia Health), Dr. Charlotte Grayson (also of Privia Health), and Dr. Katie Thompson (Mankato Clinic).

Led by Javara Medical Director, Dr. Colleen Tenan, our panelists discussed how clinical research and the Javara partnership have benefitted their practices, patients, and careers!

Furthermore, our guests spoke of how Javara’s partnership brings research to their patient populations that don’t have access to larger academic medical centers, thus offering “more bread-and-butter research” that affects more of their patient population.  On a personal level, it allows the physicians to get back into research in addition to their daily clinic visits, which they hadn’t done since residency. Additionally, with the research staff being embedded right there in their clinics, access to clinical research is super convenient for them, thereby appealing to fellow physicians as well.

The discussion closed with each panelist offering advice to those interested in conducting research, as well as sharing the biggest benefit they’ve seen from their partnership with Javara. Dr. Grayson shared, “As physicians, it’s brought back our love of medicine and improved our knowledge base. For our patients, it has broadened their care options.
