Javara Welcomes Texas Health Resources to Its Embedded Research Network
Expanding a Community-Based Alternative to Traditional Research Models
Winston-Salem, NC — [May 20, 2026] In recognition of International Clinical Trials Day, Javara today announced a new collaboration with Texas Health Resources designed to expand community-based clinical research opportunities across North Texas. By combining Texas Health’s extensive provider network with Javara’s embedded research infrastructure and operational model, the effort is designed to help connect patients, providers, and sponsors through research opportunities integrated directly within routine care settings.
Collaboration designed to connect sponsors to large-scale community patient populations across North Texas.
Texas Health serves more patients in North Texas than any other provider across 29 hospitals, 420+ points of access, and hundreds of primary and specialty care providers. Texas Health’s commitment to quality earned the system 17 four- or five-star ratings in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Overall Hospital Star Ratings for eligible Texas Health hospitals.
Together, Javara and Texas Health are building a differentiated model for community-based clinical trial delivery.
Sponsors and CROs face increasing pressure
As sponsors and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) face increasing pressure to improve enrollment timelines, patient diversity, and real-world representation, traditional recruitment models continue to struggle. Rather than relying on standalone recruitment strategies competing for the same research-experienced participants, the Javara–Texas Health collaboration will connect patients to research opportunities through existing healthcare relationships across community care settings.
By leveraging provider-enabled patient identification, integrated workflows, and embedded research infrastructure, the collaboration is designed to support faster enrollment, stronger retention, broader patient representation, and more seamless integration of research into care delivery.
“Healthcare systems sit at the center of where patients already receive care, yet clinical research too often remains disconnected from those environments,” said Jennifer Byrne, Founder and CEO of Javara. “Bringing research directly into community-based care settings creates a more scalable and sustainable way to connect patients, physicians, and sponsors — especially in markets where traditional recruitment models continue to face growing pressure.”
The Javara-Texas Health collaboration is expected to support study activation across multiple care settings throughout the North Texas region, with initial patient enrollment anticipated to begin this summer. Early areas of focus include cardiovascular disease, cardiometabolic disease, gastroenterology, and internal medicine.
Observed annually on May 20, International Clinical Trials Day recognizes the critical role clinical research plays in advancing medicine and improving patient outcomes worldwide.
